You'll deepen your understanding of the current state of active transportation in Kansas and build valuable partnerships as you learn how to improve walking, biking, and rolling in your community through workshops, presentations, and other activities.

The Crash Analysis Studio is a Strong Towns program that examines local traffic crashes to uncover what they reveal about street design and community safety. Rather than treating crashes as random events, the Studio helps participants see the broader patterns and systemic issues that contribute to dangerous conditions. In this session, Edward Erfurt, Director of Community Action at Strong Towns, will lead participants through real-world examples of crash sites, analyze contributing factors, and discuss incremental, low-cost solutions that can make streets safer and more productive.
