Taleb on Political Risk

At the end of August, Patron Saint of Strong Towns Thinking Nassim Taleb gave a lecture on risk and risk management. For those of you that believe that, with enough data, we can model the future, this is a must watch. For everyone else, this is a must watch.

Personally, I can't get enough of Taleb and watch/listen to every recorded word of his that I can. I'm convinced he will be talked about centuries from now the way we talk about Adam Smith; a brilliant philosopher who saw things in plain site that others missed. He's also sometimes as difficult to follow as Smith. Keep working at it; I promise you it is worth it.

Nassim Taleb is a fellow of The Fletcher School based at The Fares Center. This is the keynote address of The Fletcher Conference on Managing Political Risk (2015). The annual conference, hosted by The Fletcher Political Risk Group, brings together business professionals and academics to consider the risks and opportunities that global companies, investors, and organizations face in today's complex world.
