Video: Able to be walked is not "walkable."
“We think of a place as being walkable if it has sidewalks. Certainly when you’re going down the Complete Streets checklist, you would look at a corridor like this and and say, well we’ve got sidewalks here so a person can theoretically walk from one place to another...”
In this throwback video, Chuck takes us down a sidewalk in his hometown during rush hour and shows that, just because a street has sidewalks, that doesn't make it safe or pleasant to walk on. Unsurprisingly, there's no one out walking besides him.
